A Deer Anniversary - Alphabet Rotary Stamp Highlight

A friend of mine recently asked if I would make her an anniversary card for her husband.  Her and her husband are avid hunters.  While this dear is no longer current, I knew that I could tie in the antlers from the new Wonderland set and make a little play on words with the alphabet rotary stamp.

I used Go Wild DSP for the chevron background and the black and white circle.

I love the versatility of the rotary stamp.  It's a must have!

Kelly is currently deployed to Hondoras and her husband is serving a short tour in Korea.  Happy first anniversary!  Thanks for your service. <3
And thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week!

Bite Me Treats!

Well friends, Stampin' Up! announced yesterday a very awesome promotion!  This week only - save 15% on all regular priced stamps!

I wanted to feature a photopolymer that you may have not seen in awhile or knew was still available.  There are many photopolymer sets that are on SU's website that are not in the catalog.  Be sure to check them out!

Here are two treats I made with the Bite Me set, square pillow box and frybox die.

I love the look of the black embossing powder on black cardstock.  Those webs are cute and creepy! I used my markers to color the sentiment like candy corn.  I also took some scraps from the Smoky Slate frybox to make an extra tag detail. :)

For the frybox, I used the black cutout from the square pillow box for my tag.  You can't see the spiders, but I did stamp the spiders from the "A Little Something" Bundle that comes with the pillow box.  (The pumpkin pie chevron ribbon is on the clearance rack, FYI.)

So there you have it.  Another Halloween treat idea for the kids or grandkids!

I do have a special right now in addition to the 15% sale.  Order $25 from me today through Friday Oct 23 (using hostess code 6CRSYZHT) and I will send you a gift!  If you have a demonstrator, please be loyal to them!  Thanks and happy stamping!

Bingo Night & Goodbyes

This past Tuesday my stamp ladies and I gathered one last time before my family moves from Rhode Island to Minnesota.  These ladies have not only been my customers, but we've all become friends over time, and I wanted to have a fun night before I said goodbye see ya later.

Each lady paid $25 which included 2 cards, a 3D project, a doorprize and a thank you present.
Oh yeah, and the chance to win a BIG doorprize!

The first of the three bigger prizes was this "holiday tag kit":
Ornate Tag Topper Punch (137416)
Old Olive Twine (134579)
Old Olive Marker (100079)
Real Red Marker (100052)
Perfect prize to win to start making holiday tags!

Second of the three was this "Thank You Bundle":
Watercolor Thank You (135377)
1/2 Subtles CS pack (131193) cut to A2 card bases
3 Subtles Ink Pads (131185) I purchased the set of 10 to split up
last year's subtles DSP cut to 4x6 sheets

and lastly is the "Endless Birthday Bundle":
Endless Birthday Wishes (140273)
Clear Block B 117147
1 Blender Pen (102845)
1/2 Subtles CS pack (131193) cut to A2 card bases
3 Subtles Ink Pads (131185) Again, I purchased the set of 10 to split up
last year's subtles DSP cut to 4x6 sheets

I took the Rotary Alphabet Stamp to get the word bingo all over the background of the tags.  I took my Blackberry Bliss marker to finish it off :)

The grand prize was the Big Shot (113439) with the Spring Flowers embossing folder from the clearance rack (137365)

This was my favorite tag to make!  I was so excited making this knowing that someone else would soon have the best SU tool!

We made 2 cards and this 3D pumpkin before we played bingo.   I forgot to take a picture of the 2 cards, but I did take a picture of the pumpkin.  I embossed and cut 120 2" circles during the Steeler game on Monday.  I couldn't help but think they looked like little taco shells!

Am I right? Or just weird? :)
(don't answer that...)

The stem is made with the corrugated cardstock and the little twisted pieces are Soft Suede cardstock. The leaf is a 3/4" circle cut from Cherry On Top DSP.  Thanks Shannon (CrushOnColour) for the perfect idea for the leaf!

I hope my friends don't mind - here they are enjoying bingo!

Top prize winners!

Last time stamping with me.
(insert sad emoji)

They're planning to still gather together which makes me happy!

The ladies who did not win one of the big prize did go home with ribbon, embellishments, stamp sets or DSP... :) I think they had a great time!

I gave them each a notebook and some twine.  These notebooks were the perfect match for Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo <3

It's not nearly enough to tell them how much I have appreciated them.  They're my first stamp club - but certainly not my last!  Love you ladies!

Thanks for swinging by - Have a fantastic weekend!

In the meantime, check out this awesome promotion from Stampin' Up! that starts next week!

Starting October 19, stamps will be discounted 15 percent off retail. This sale will only be around for a few days before it ends on October 23, so don't miss out! It's a great time to purchase stamp sets on your wish list

Flurry of Wishes

One of the many things I love about Stampin' Up! products are the bundles.  SU! offers many stamp sets that coordinate with punches or framelits that when purchased together, you can save 15%.

This particular bundle from the holiday catalog is a winner!  For $33, you get the photopolymer set and matching snowflake punch and the possibilities are endless.  This set is so pretty and I've been busy with it.

Here are two cards I made recently:

With 3 separate snowflake stamps, it's easy to make a background like this one.  Different shades of blue really give it the wintry look.

This card has been one of my favorites that I have made with this set and this particular fold idea came right out of the holiday catalog.  The new curvy trio punch is a must have :)

Thanks for stopping by :)  Have a wonderful weekend!

Let's Go Bucs! A Baseball Page with Project Life

It's been awhile since I've made a scrapbook page.  I guess I've been enjoying taking lots of pictures and making memories this summer that I haven't stopped to put them on a page!  I know I will be busy this winter! :)

But since it's still baseball season (for some fans at least) I wanted to make my first page from our trip home to PA in August.  If you're not a big baseball fan, I'll fill you in on this awesome Pirates team.  This is our 3rd straight year to make playoffs after a 20 year streak.  It's been so fun to watch them.  We even drove 522 miles last year to go to the wildcard game!

I'm hoping Wednesday night's wildcard game has a better outcome!

When I was using my Bohemian Borders stamp set the other day I happen to use these stiches on a card and immediately saw baseball stitches.  I tested it out (which the boys thought was awesome) and that night I ordered my photos so I could make this page right away!
For the "Let's Go Bucs" background, I used the Layered Letters Photopolymer set.  Even though they're photopolymer and they're easy to line up, here's a tip: if you mount one word at a time they keep a consistent look.

The "Gather Together" sentiment is from Seasonal Snapshot 2015.  You can find it in the holiday catalog.  Isn't that font the coolest?!

And who doesn't love pretzels, family, baseball?! (My boys are easy to love too, FYI) :)

I had so much fun making this page.  Our 4yo even asked if we could send it to Starling Marte (our left fielder) - he said he'd would love it!

:)  Sorry Eli, we're going to keep this page!

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by.  Sorry that my scrolling list is not working.  The website that I use to list the items used for my projects is not working from my computer and since our cat spilled water on my husbands MacBook, I'm going to just list the products below. If you have questions, please don't hesistate to ask! :)
